Vintage Trends

As a teenager I do like to keep up with fashion trends. One that I see advertised and talked about a lot is vintage. At first I wasn't too sure about the type of clothing and things that followed the trend but the more I looked into it, the more I loved it!

I find it quite quirky how people take passed ideas from years ago and put it into todays society. I am a huge fan of the vintage look, collared dresses, patterned shorts, oversized jumpers and to be honest I think it suits all shapes and sizes.

I'm not skinny, i'm actually quite curvy but the floaty dresses make me feel a lot slimmer and more summery.

I done some research on some online magazine sites like The Look and I've noticed that not only are adults wearing vintage inspired clothes but young girls are too! I've also noticed that people are even wearing this fashion when going out to nightclubs and parties. A few of my favourite shops have a huge base of these inspired clothes:)

Lets start with accessories!

Jayna Vintage Look Embossed Bag
£18
Boohoo.com

This bag is a lot bigger than it looks. It can easily dress up an outfit and that's what I like about it. It has a chic type of feel and would look really nice with some denim dungarees.

My  next vintage look is a pinafore. Which I think would look really nice with the Vintage Bag.
Maria Denim Look Jersey Pinafore Dress
£25
Boohoo.com

Also dresses are  a major part of the summer (Unless you live in a place like Ireland and wont get warm weather)

Cutout Apex Sundress
£38
Topshop

People also go for the vintage look in a room. I am one of these people and was greatly inspired by a video that Zoe Sugg who I mentioned in my last blog did. http://youtu.be/2l5h7PI1FR8

I am for moving house in the next few months and was in desperate need of some inspirational ideas so I also took to google images!

The mirrors really stand out for me as their quite orginal.
I LOVE the bits and bobs scattered around the room as it
gives it a homely feel to it.

I think the flowered pillows are really cute!

So that's a few ideas for any vintage looks your looking and also my view on this whole trend thing that's going on with it:)

Share your comments and let me know your opinion on it!

Indroduction

Wow. So today I finally decided to start a blog. Its weird because I never really pictured myself as a blog type of person. My main inspiration for this blog is Zoe Sugg (Zoella). I seriously love her and to me she's the type of woman many young girls like me should look up too.

I'm only 14 so obviously I have a huge amount of things yet to experience and to do but I wanted to start marking everything I do from now on here. Things I do, places I go, brands I use, people I meet and loads of other things. I'm not sure how interesting it could get or how personal because to be 100% honest when I woke up this morning the idea of a blog wasn't even in my head.

Its a spare the moment type of thing.

Also, because its the ending of June and summer 2013 is approaching i'll have plenty of time to talk and blog to you lovely people of the web.

So stay tuned for some blogging and let me know what you want me to blog about:)
